Ex-Sadecehosting owner buys minority stake in Webrazzi

Arda Kutsal, the founder and CEO of Webrazzi, announced today in a post at the site that Selçuk Saraç, the founder and ex-owner of Sadecehosting.com, has bought 10% stake at the publisher. Currently running Webrazzi, Sosyalmedya.co and Webrazzi English weblogs, the group is the leading news and content provider in Turkey and the surrounding region on internet economy and entrepreneurship. The group is also the organizer of 5 most-attended internet conferences in the country.

Selçuk Saraç founded and grew Sadecehosting.com into one of the largest hosting companies in Turkey, and sold it in mid-2013 to British TelecityGroup for £25 million. Following the sale, Saraç invested in Sendloop ve Connected2Me and recently set up Spaceman Ventures to manage and grow further on his investments.

Aslanoba Capital, one of the leading VCs in Turkey, bought 15% stake in Webrazzi last April. The financial details of two deals have not been disclosed.

Arda Kutsal commented, "Selçuk is a huge addition to Webrazzi's strenghts, but this union of forces has also strategic importance as it serves to our vision about the internet and digital future of Turkey."
