Founded by Uğur Yekta Başak, Mahdi Kazempour , and Sercan Demircan, Diner aims to focus on taking its tech infrastructure one step forward and increasing the number of companies it offers its services with this new investment.
Diner was founded in 2019 with TÜBİTAK 1512 BiGG fund support as a deep tech company that aims to make AR technology available for everyone. Offering its first app to restaurants, Diner intends to allow companies to create their own 3D contents without the need for any professional assistance or an extra device besides cell phones. When you go to a restaurant with Diner, you can visualize all the food being served at your table, that you order the ones you please, and that the rest being removed from the table. You even can visualize receiving this service at your own home, without the need for going to the restaurant.
Diner develops services for restaurant managers to create their own AR-based digital menus in just minutes. It also can integrate extra features that can reduce the operational costs of restaurants. The restaurants can then offer all these services to their customers without purchasing any digital screens or tablets. While the service increases restaurant’s profit through an enhanced presentation quality and operational efficiency, it also allows the end users to make the best choice when it comes to venue and menu selection.
Diner also serves as an Official Snapchat Lens Creative Partner and is a part of artificial intelligence focused NVidia Inception program. Having its iOS app offered to users the previous month, the Android app for Diner is now in beta testing phase.
Note that Diner was one of the startups included in the Startup Lounge in Webrazzi Summit 2019.
