kyu Collective, announced to have purchased the majority share of Istanbul based creative organization ATÖLYE. Having its headquarters in New York, kyu Collective operates as a collective of strategically selected companies for generating source for creativity. kyu's members include organizations such as the international design firm IDEO, data-driven media and CRM services provider Kepler, the multi-disciplinary creative branding agency Sid Lee, and the transformation consulting company SYPartners.
ATÖLYE and kyu can be seen as significant organizations for establishing organizations working in harmony with the digital age. Founded in Istanbul in 2013, ATÖLYE is an innovation platform that incorporates an award-winning Strategic Design Studio into the Creative Platform. ATÖLYE's community -brought together for their diversity and interaction levels- currently consists of a creative staff over 150 people. ATÖLYE provides a new model to the creative services sector referred to as "membrane organization". All of the wide-range services ATÖLYE is able to provide to its customers thanks to this system, aims at tackling with the major problems and creating the highest positive effect possible through the solutions offered.
Following the acquisition of the majority share, the management model and practices adopted by ATÖLYE will be combined with the scaling capacity of kyu. It can be presumed that this partnership will generate a more powerful and efficient business model in numerous markets where limited services were provided so far by companies operating in creative fields.
kyu acquired the majority of the company by purchasing the investors' shares of ATÖLYE, where Dittler Industriebeteiligungen GmbH, Radicant Istanbul, Yaşar Begümhan Doğan Faralyalı, DEVLOGIC DOO, Ersin Refik Pamuksüzer, Emre Kurttepeli's company K Technology Trade. Inc., Wide Venture, Kerim Yavuz Baran, Barış Karadoğan, Barış Aksoy, Cem Yegül, Ahmet Sinan Uluğ, Kerem Alper and Engin Ayaz are among the partners of the company.
kyu's EMEA CEO Farah Ramzan Golant shared his excitement for working in collaboration with ATÖLYE on the road to discovery of how this innovative and community-prioritized approach can be envisioned, interpreted, and effectively applied as it moves into markets such as the Middle East and India to lead the new creative forms of organization. Commenting on the partnership of kyu Collective, ATÖLYE Co-founder Engin Ayaz said that they will be pleased to take the expertise of ATÖLYE to a higher level by working with top international organizations within the scope of kyu Collective.
