The relationship between art and blockchain

We had already informed you about our Blockchain Venture Summit conference on November 21, 2018 which will be held in London. Blockchain Venture Summit, which we organized in 8 Northumberland in London, one of the city’s top attractions, has started in its full swing.

Jess Houlgrave, co-founder and COO of Codex Protocol, shared important information in his presentation “Unlocking The Value of Unique Assets” about both the company and the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Jess Houlgrave said that people use blockchain technology as a safer way to protect their information and emphasized that blockchain technology has been used in many areas, from art to financial technologies. Underlining the combination of art and blockchain technologies, Houlgrave showed companies such as Bitch Coin, HODL and Coins as examples.

” Artists use blockchain technology for security “

Houlgrave underlined the fact that art works cannot be copied in real world, but the situation is different for art works in digital world. Houlgrave said that digital artworks can be copied very easily and explains that this security problem can be easily solved with blockchain technology.

Stating that cryptocurrency is being used as a payment system at art museums, Houlgrave also shared that some of the museums in the European region use bitcoin actively as a payment system.
