ŞefGibi‘ prepares weekly meal packages, and makes it easy for people to cook at home and helps them to become a chef at home.
How does ŞefGibi serve?
Let us remind you that the platform serves weekly. First of all, you enter the ŞefGibi website and click the “Create Your Bag” option in the upper right corner. Then you come to your choice of food and according to how many packages you want per week, the categories are being created. After choosing the option if you want two or three packages a week, you choose one of the options Carnivores, Vegetarian, Mediterranean Diet or Mixed according to your nutrition type. All packages are sent for two people. While the package for 2 days per week costs 120 TL, the package for three days per week costs 130 TL. You determine which day and time you will receive your package and you can freeze the weeks you do not want to receive packages. You can cancel your membership at any time.
You can also find the menu of the whole week at ŞefGibi. The menus are not limited to names only; You can also see all the recipes with the ingredients and “how to” on the website.
Founded in April 2017 and started to operate in September, more than 100 thousand dishes have been cooked in over 100 houses via ŞefGibi. Taze Şef, Gramevde and Mutlu Çiftlik are among the competitors of the startup that has been founded by Korgün Koyunpınar ve Orçun Seviğ. But ŞefGibi is separated from its competitors by its data-driven business development. In other words, they incorporate data from customer feedback, local and global trends into the business and the recipe development process. In this way, they are constantly improving the service by offering the services and recipes in a customized way according to the customers.
Consisting of a total team of 6 people, including 2 full and 4 part-time employees, ŞefGibi’s future targets include receiving a first investment and expanding the logistics networks, reaching a thousand active users, and then increasing sales channels by being available on supermarket shelves. In the long term, their aim is to increase the number of markets by starting their activities in cities where the population is intensively co-located, such as Barcelona.
