Next-generation same-day delivery venture PackUpp announced that it received an investment. According to the information shared, the venture received investment with a valuation of 1.5 million euro. The funding round led by TRAngels and Yatırımcılar Grubu members was also joined by Girişim Türk A.Ş. and members and Keiretsu Forum members.
The financial details on the exact amount of investment PackUpp received has not been shared. In their statement, PackUpp's co-founders Semih Emre Özcanand Rıdvan Göçemen stated that PackUpp was a technology company and that they provided 'same-day' and 'next-day' deliveries of corporate firm and e-commerce site products to customers with 100% domestic software developed completely by themselves.
Expressing their happiness to receive Girişim Türk A.Ş. and Keiretsu Forum investors' support led by TRAngels A.Ş. and Yatırımcılar Grubu, the co-founders added that they were currently providing delivery services in a total of 6 cities including İstanbul in Turkey and with the support provided by the received investment, they would first provide quality delivery services in more provinces.
Let us also note that next year, the PackUpp venture will progress towards its goal of becoming a global delivery technologies company by beginning to provide its services in Europe and the United States. One of the most important services of PackUpp that creates a distinction is the 'Direct Delivery from the Sender to the Receiver' feature.
As there are no collection and distribution centres, warehouses, and branches, the software decides all collections and deliveries. Hence, a package is delivered to the customer through a single individual without having to contact different people at 4-5 different points. In these days when hygiene is of utmost importance, both packages are carried in a more sterile manner and the rate of damage to the product becomes zero. PackUpp offers this service to firms as deliveries both from the warehouse and the store.
PackUpp plans to add environment-friendly electrical vehicles to its field fleet soon and is also working on deliveries with driverless autonomous vehicles. Aiming to create a delivery system that works 100% autonomously by conducting logistic optimisations completely with its own software, the venture also plans to add machine learning and artificial intelligence to its software in the second half of 2020. Finally, let us also add that among the customers of PackUpp there are many global and local firms such as CarrefourSA, Decathlon, Fox Medya, SPX, Columbia, Çağrı Market, and Bereket Döner.
