In March 2019, we shared the news that Turkey based tech startup Prisync acquired its Australian rival Spotlite. Coming up yet again with another acquisition news, Prisync today announced to have acquired the UK-based Competitor Price Watch. Note that no information on the agreement's financial details was shared.
To summarize; Prisync operating in the field of e-commerce market focused market research & price optimization, has yet incorporated another rival under its roof. The information shared suggests that Prisync also increased its market share in the UK through the acquisition of Competitor Price Watch.
Providing automatic competitor price tracking, analysis and price optimization services for global e-commerce organizations regardless of their scale or industry, Prisync currently serves hundreds of organizations in more than 50 countries in this field. We informed you last January that Prisync received an investment of $ 1.1 million under the leadership of Collective Spark.
Stating that the UK is globally among countries where e-commerce market is the most active, Prisync co-founder and CEO Burc Tanir also shared their view of incorporating the Competitor Price Watch brand and its customers under their roof as an important step towards strengthening Prisync's position in the European market.
Being a young startup itself with its customers comprised mainly of small and medium-scale enterprises, Prisync has the mindset that economic shrinkage caused by the pandemic can only be achieved through solidarity and cooperation, and hence allowed 2 months free access to its services for SMEs negatively affected by the process starting as of March, 2020.
